WildStar Open Beta Announced

Carbine Studios and NCSOFT announced last week that they will be having a WildStar open beta for its fans of its upcoming action/adventure sci-fi MMO. The beta will start on May 8th and will continue for 10 days. With the launch of the beta, a brand new datacenter in Europe has been switched on to handle the new influx of player. This will allow for a much smoother gaming experience.

On top of opening up the beta to the public, the level cap has also been increased to level 30. Current European beta testers will be able to seamlessly transfer their current characters over to the new European servers. German and French fans are in luck, as new localized versions are now available for testing.

Carbine Studios also released a new trailer highlighting the back story of the game. Be sure to check it out!

For those not already participating in the beta, head over to the WildStar website to sign-up and participate. Current participants can log on using their already active accounts.

WildStar‘s official launch date is June 3rd, 2014 and will be available in two versions. The Standard Edition includes the game, an Eldan-themed Housing Décor item, and 30 days of play time. For $15 more, the Digital Deluxe edition will also include an Eldan Hoverboard, a unique Eldan player title, a unique costume, and a limited-edition Eldan dye set.
