Christmasing Around puts up to eight elves on Santa’s burning sleigh in December

“Santa needs a hand!” the Steam page for Christmasing Around says, and developer Abubu Dance plans to give him eight when the game launches in mid-December 2026. It is an online co-op game for 2 to 8 players, published by The Bueno Interactive, coming to Steam for PC, Mac and SteamOS. No price is listed yet.

Co-op is online only, with proximity voice chat, so the elf nearest the fire hears the shouting first. Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer, which here means Windows, Mac and SteamOS players can share a sleigh. The store page lists English and 13 other languages with full audio and subtitles, which helps when eight people from different places share one voice channel. Nothing on the store page or in the announcement covers dedicated servers or joining a session already in progress. An eight-player game has to answer those two before it goes on our Friday poll.

The loop is a night shift on a flying sleigh. You deliver presents while keeping Santa, the sleigh and the reindeer in one piece. That means finding tools, putting out fires, fixing the sleigh and, according to the store page, repairing the reindeer. Repair the reindeer, they say. I would like that sentence explained before Christmas.

Trouble comes from the sky as UFOs, sky pirates and penguins. Between the chaos events and mini-games there is a quieter mode, where the crew decorates the sleigh, opens presents and forms a band.

Abubu Dance describes itself as a team “making silly games in Vietnam,” and its site lists no other games, so this looks like a debut. The closest relative is Overcooked, where the kitchen also catches fire while everyone shouts. Overcooked stops at four cooks, and Christmasing Around asks for twice that. Eight is the number that makes me want to see it run, because a sleigh with eight elves on it is a logistics problem before it is a game.

This is a December game for one or two loud nights. If it holds eight people for one of them before the holidays, it has done its job. The price, still unlisted, will decide whether everyone in the group buys in.

Wishlist it on Steam and pencil it in for the last Friday before the holidays.
