Cash is King! Business Simulator launches on Steam on November 5, 2026, developer BlackBeak Games and publisher Three River Games announced alongside a new trailer. The price is not set yet. A free demo is playable now as part of Steam Next Fest, which runs through October 26.
You start in Miami Beach with empty pockets, in first person. The first dollars come from a lemonade stand on the beach and newspaper vending machines. Profit buys more machines and new businesses. You can also “automate your companies,” the store page says. The announcement wants you to “turn small side hustles into big profits,” and a safe holds the earnings for the next investment. An apartment waits to be furnished with them.
The announcement says success is not only about money. Helping out in the neighbourhood, cleaning the streets and removing graffiti raise your reputation, and that is what unlocks new opportunities. Minigames with a water gun, a broom or a newspaper stand pay out in cash, popularity or both. That makes it closer to a life sim with a ledger than to a tycoon game, and the Steam tags agree: Management, Life Sim, Shop Keeper and Automation.
What BlackBeak’s last game says about the automation
The store page covers automation in three words. The studio’s record says more. BlackBeak released Star Ores Inc. on November 6, 2025. It was also a first-person money loop: you cut asteroids with a laser aboard a derelict station, sell the ore and build robot helpers that raise your output. It holds a Very Positive rating from 324 Steam reviews as of October 21. If Cash is King’s automation works like those robots, the late game is about deciding which stand to hand off first. If it is one upgrade button, the empire part will be short.
Three River Games published Star Ores Inc. too, and its catalogue is a shelf of first-person job sims: Shop Simulator: Supermarket, Airport Baggage Simulator, Michelangelo: Stonemason Simulator. Cash is King fits the line. It is single-player, in 10 languages, and asks for a GTX 1060 at minimum.
The demo has been on Steam since April 9, 2026, and Next Fest puts it in front of a bigger crowd. Play the free demo and judge the automation there before you wishlist the full game on Steam.
