Conan Exiles Enhanced heads to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Aloft 1.0 alongside

“We’ve heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles,” Funcom CEO Scott Junior said on Tuesday. So it is coming. Funcom announced Conan Exiles Enhanced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in early 2027. It is free for anyone who already owns the game on PS4 or Xbox One. Aloft, the cozy skyship survival game Funcom publishes for Astrolabe Interactive, leaves Steam Early Access and reaches PS5 in the same window. Neither game has an exact date yet.

“All bought content will seamlessly carry over to the new version,” Funcom says. Its PlayStation Blog post spells out that Bazaar items and DLC make the trip. Isle of Siptah stays a separate purchase. On PlayStation, buying either the PS4 or the PS5 version gets you the other one. The new Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc is in the game at console launch.

Steam owners have had Enhanced for a while as a free update. It moved Conan Exiles to Unreal Engine 5, rebuilt the environments, characters, lighting and effects, and redesigned the UI. It also joined the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah into one seamless game. The store page says the update “unifies eight years of content into a single upgraded experience” at no cost. The game entered early access in 2017 and launched on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 8, 2018. Funcom is right that the 10th anniversary is close.

What “at launch or soon after” means for a mixed crew

Full crossplay is coming to Conan Exiles Enhanced “at launch or soon after,” Funcom says. Soon after is the part I would circle. Our Friday crew is spread across PC, PlayStation and Xbox. A gap of even a few weeks puts the console half on a different server from the PC half. The Steam page lists solo play, online co-op and PvP, and lets you host your own server with your own rules. It gives no player cap, so check your server’s settings before you promise anyone a slot.

Aloft sits at the other end of the genre, and it is the easier sell for a group. You turn floating islands into skyships, build a home in the clouds, clear a fungal blight off the islands and bring their wildlife back. The Steam page says it plays “solo or as a group of up to 8 friends,” through private joins or public lobbies. It does not mention dedicated servers. Aloft has been in Early Access since January 15, 2025, at $24.99, and the developers say the price will likely rise at 1.0.

Five major content updates have landed since then, adding wildlife, puzzles, combat changes and glider customization. The PS5 version gets all of them plus the 1.0 content, so console players start where PC players finish. Astrolabe CEO Manuel Bergeron called the game “a passion project fueled by the unwavering support and love of our community.” Nobody has said whether Aloft gets crossplay.

If your group is all on one platform, both games are easy calls for early 2027. If it is split, buy Aloft for the cozy nights and hold off on Conan until Funcom puts a date on that crossplay.
