Luma Island comes to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 2, 2026, Feel Free Games announced on Thursday. Your group of four no longer needs to share a platform. Cross-platform co-op for one to four players arrives with the console launch and covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The PC version has been on Steam since November 20, 2024, at $19.99, and its store page already lists drop-in, drop-out online co-op for up to four. Neither the announcement nor the store page mentions dedicated servers, so I would assume one player hosts until the studio says otherwise. Console prices were not in the announcement. Both console versions can be wishlisted now.
If you missed it on PC, the loop is homesteading with a door out the back. You farm, fish, mine and build at home, then head into jungles, caverns and ancient temples full of traps and puzzles. Each player picks a profession from Archaeologist, Blacksmith, Brewer, Cook, Fisherman, Jeweler, Shipwright and Treasure Hunter. Eggs hidden around the island hatch into Lumas, companion creatures that help sniff out treasure. There is no stamina bar and no inventory cap, and three modes (Cozy, Adventure and Hero) set how much fighting you do.
“Enjoy the journey without the chore,” Feel Free Games writes in its feature list. Without the chore, they say. In a group, that means nobody sits out the evening because their character ran out of stamina at nine. And the friend who wants to farm can share a night with the friend who wants to raid a temple.
What 800,000 PC players already have
Luma Island is the debut of Feel Free Games, a studio in Sassenheim, Netherlands, founded by former architectural software engineers and 3D industry veterans. It has sold more than 800,000 copies on PC, and Steam shows 90% of 3,768 English reviews positive. Consoles get the content-complete version, including the Pirate Cove update. On PC, Feel Free also started a Farm and Chill bundle on Thursday with Pathea Games’ My Time at Sandrock, at $28.78 for both, a 10% discount.
If your group is split between a PS5, an Xbox and a PC, December 2 is the first night all three can share one island. The PC players can start now on Steam and have the farm ready.
