GRID 2’s First Gameplay Trailer and Details

Today Codemasters unveiled the first full-length GRID 2 gameplay trailer, showcasing the cinematic style and beautiful graphics. GRID 2 is the sequel to the BAFTA-award winning racing game GRID. The video shows off some of the racing locales: Paris, Barcelona, Chicago, California, and the Red Bull Ring. GRID 2 will challenge players to be quick, first, and famous as they drive iconic vehicles from the last four decades. GRID 2 also features a newer multiplayer experience: it has extensive customization options and is integrated with RaceNet.

GRID 2‘s Road Racing locations showcase certain vehicles, including the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, Ford Mustang Mach 1, and Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970 all race head-to-head on the California Coast track. At Austria’s Red Bull Ring, the Ariel Atom 3, BAC Mono, and KTM X-Bow R are racing. Street Racing is showcased in Paris as the McLaren MP4-12C, Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG, and Corvetter Z06 Centennial Edition speed around the Arc de Triumph. The Alfa Romeo Giuletta and Ford Focus ST duel it out at night in Barcelona. The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Nismo Z Tune, Pagani Huayra, Koenigsegg Agera R and others fly through Chicago.

Fans who pre-order the game online or in-store can purchase the GRID 2: Brands Hatch Edition which includes extra downloadable content on the PSN and Xbox Live for both the Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

The McLaren Racing Pack: The McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition car becomes the player’s to race in single-player, multiplayer, and during online events. In addition, in-game earned currency goes further with discounts in GRID 2‘s multiplayer vehicle and modification store, and players will receive a RaceNet bonus.

Head Start Pack: Players will receive the exclusive Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT car for single-player, multiplayer, and online events, plus more discounts and another RaceNet bonus.

GRID 2 will hit the shelves both in retail and digital versions, on the 31st of May this year for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows PC (no prices given yet).
