Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second, the sequel to the previous MMORPG Ragnarok Online, launches its Open Beta Test today after some rescheduling. The OBT serves players in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, along with an English service. The Open Beta Test servers will be online twenty-four hours a day. There are currently many in-game activities, one of them being a 24-Hour Cash Shop Opening Sale, where players will be given free RO2Cash (the game credit needed to purchase items) to buy in-game items.
Mr. Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft Online, stated: “First of all we would like to apologize that we had to delay the start of OBT, which was necessary in order to achieve our main objective of providing the most stable gaming experience to our users. We have been working closely with Gravity Co. to resolve bugs and issues reported by players during CBT and have subsequently run many stress tests during the final days of December 2012 to ensure the stability of the new game servers we have invested into the game. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us during that period and we now welcome gamers to rejoin us in the magical world of Ragnarok Online 2.”
In appreciation of Ragnarok Online 2 players for their support, Asiasoft is giving 5,000 free RO2Cash credits to any player who has a Level 10 character by January 6th (0259 +8 GMT). Any player who participated in the Closed Beta gets a “Thank You Pack” which includes the following items:
- 5 Explorer’s Purple Potions
- 5 Remote Storage Scrolls
- 1 Spinel
- 2 Butterfly Wings
