Turbine announced today that the the award-winning free-to-play MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online will now support Mac users. With the launch of their new Mac client beta, thousands of Mac gamers will now have access to the beloved Middle-earth that Turbine has created.

“We are really excited to open up the world of Middle-earth to Mac,” said Kate Paiz, Executive Producer of The Lord of the Rings Online. “We’ve just launched our biggest expansion yet and we’re happy to welcome gamers to play the game natively on Mac OS X for the first time ever.”

Although GamesFinity does not have an offical review of the game, I am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings Online having spend 100+ hours exploring Middle-earth. It excites me to know that the game will be recieving a new wave of fresh players. If you are interested in getting the Mac client, head over to the LOTRO website and start playing!

What do you think about the game? Any Mac users excited about this news?
